While Halloween often brings up fun, exciting thoughts of trick-or-treating, passing out candy, dressing up in costumes and scaring your friends and family, there is one other scary event that the 31st of October brings―another month closer to the frigid winter season.

As people all across the country wake up tomorrow from their long nights of Halloween parties and Fall festivities, it will be time to begin packing away the spooky decorations and preparing our houses and our cars for the winter months ahead. However, while November is the unofficial month to begin winterizing our surroundings and possessions, do not forget about preparing your skin for the harsh temperatures and brutal affects of winter.

Dry, itchy and flaky skin goes hand in hand with the winter months. This is because people are constantly going from dry, toasty homes that are heated, to brutal, freezing winter winds outside, then back into the warmth again. These factors can all lead to a spike in dry, cracked skin that takes plenty of preventative maintenance to repair.
